About Connect OT Yoga

Hi, I'm Kim Marion

Welcome to Connect OT Yoga.  I’m thrilled you are here. I’m a woman with many roles (mom, wife, daughter, sister), evolving yogi and OT working in private practice.  I’m passionate about my family and friends, life-long learning, health & wellness in all its facets and building positive connections.  I truly believe our wellness involves active, ongoing engagement with ourselves and being part of supportive community.

With over 25 years experience working with children and adults as an Occupational Therapist, in addition to my training as a Certified Yoga Therapist, I have developed a deeper understanding of how the connections within our body and mind impact our ability to function and enjoy our lives.  Along the way, I have also learned so much from my own life experiences, amazing professionals, my family, as well as the families and children I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with.  I strongly believe in collaboration and strive to stay open to new ideas, knowledge and perspectives.

As we go through life, patterns of movement, thinking and feeling develop in all of us from life events:  childhood, school, illness, work, trauma, pregnancy, injuries, sports and everyday life stressors. While some patterns are supportive and help us ‘get things done’, reach our goals and thrive in our relationships, some patterns are less helpful and despite our best efforts, lead to pain, illness, anxiety, long-term stress and exhaustion - impacting our health, our ability to function and our relationships.

By slowing down, tuning in and becoming aware of our patterns, we have a chance to grow the patterns that will best serve us and let go of the ones that are no longer supportive.

If you are ready to explore new possibilities for your health and wellness, please reach out. I would love to be part of your journey and your wellness community.

Testimonials

“I was surprised how some of the simplest yoga moves had the biggest impact to my body.  While not surprised necessarily, but I felt very comfortable with you from our first session and your caring and empathetic nature helped me feel at ease.”
